- 4 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine soy sauce, vinegar, water, onion, garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns, and sugar.
- Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then lower the heat and simmer for about 30-40 minutes or until chicken is tender.
- Remove the chicken and let it rest.
- Increase the heat and reduce the sauce to thicken.
- Serve the chicken topped with the sauce and garnished with green onions.
