Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 4 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine soy sauce, vinegar, water, onion, garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns, and sugar.
  2. Add the chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then lower the heat and simmer for about 30-40 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  4. Remove the chicken and let it rest.
  5. Increase the heat and reduce the sauce to thicken.
  6. Serve the chicken topped with the sauce and garnished with green onions.
