Description

Homemade Hawaiian Pizza is a delightful mix of sweet and savory flavors. With juicy pineapple, ham, and melted cheese, it’s a favorite for family dinners or relaxed weekends. Making this pizza at home is an easy way to enjoy a taste of the islands right in your kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cubed ham (or sliced)
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
  • 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it’s heating.
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Carefully transfer the dough onto a pizza pan or a pizza peel lightly dusted with cornmeal, if using a pizza stone.
  3. Spread 1/2 cup of pizza sauce evenly across the surface of the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  5. Distribute 1/2 cup of cubed ham, 1/2 cup of pineapple chunks, and 1/4 cup of cooked and crumbled bacon evenly on top of the mozzarella.
  6. Bake the pizza on the preheated pizza stone or in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and slightly browned.

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. If you can find fresh pineapple, it will make a big difference!
  • Don’t overload the pizza with too many toppings; a little goes a long way.
  • If you like a crispy crust, make sure your oven is hot enough and use a preheated pizza stone.
  • Feel free to add your favorite toppings like bell peppers or onions.
  • For leftovers, let the pizza cool down and then wrap it in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, bake it in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warm.
